The data-collection tool is used by companies to track employees and their interactions online.
The tool was originally designed for employees at companies with more than 1 million employees, but now can be used to track thousands of employees.
Microsoft’s Dynamics CRM is one of the companies using the tool, which was released on Monday.
It will initially be available for use by small and medium-sized businesses.
A spokesperson for the Microsoft division of Salesforce.com, which also owns Dynamics CRMs, said the company is exploring options to expand the tool beyond its current users.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella told a business audience in March that it would be possible to have “a large-scale data platform” for use in a business.
In October, Microsoft announced that it was working on an enterprise-grade version of the tool.
Microsoft also says it is looking into developing “a fully interoperable version for smaller businesses”.
