The company also said it will be recruiting to fill open positions at its headquarters and in the company’s restaurants across the U.S. and Canada, with the goal of adding 100,000 openings each year to reach its goal of hiring more than 100,00 people.

The Houston area has seen job growth in recent years and is poised to see an increase in job openings.
Houston is one of four cities that will be considered for the next phase of McDonalds expansion.

Houston is also facing a rising tide of violent crime that has resulted in a record number of homicides.
