The official website for the New Hampshire Department of Workforce Development has been temporarily taken down after an employee complained about the “racist and sexist” language used on it.
The site was launched on June 1, 2018, and was meant to provide job seekers with information about job opportunities and job training opportunities.
The Department of Employment and Training says it is taking the site down “to ensure the integrity of the hiring process and to remove any offensive content that has been posted.”
“The New Hampshire Office of the Secretary is working to ensure that any derogatory content is removed from the website,” the Department of State said in a statement.
“We are also taking steps to ensure the safety of our employees and applicants.”
A spokesperson for the department said in an email that they are working with the New Jersey Department of Business & Professional Regulation to ensure it is safe to continue to use the website.
New Hampshire’s Department of Human Resources says it has contacted the New Mexico Department of Social Services to investigate.
