Bleacher News title What the latest from Harris Healthcare?
article A company spokesperson confirmed the employee hub for employees.
A spokeswoman for the Harris Department of Health said the hub would be a location for patients, as well as a resource for the company’s medical team.
“We are committed to helping patients in need,” the spokesperson said in an email.
The spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment from ABC News.
In the past, the health system has had a patient hub for patients and their caregivers, but that is no longer an option.
The hub is for employees only, and employees are not allowed to come in and access the site, according to the spokesperson.
The Hubs for Harris employees are expected to open in late February.
Employees at the company are encouraged to use the Hubs on their own time.
In an email to employees, a spokesperson said, “We appreciate your support of our employees and their health and well-being.”
The Health Department said the Health Hubs will be used to help with “patient care needs” for the patients.
“This will be an opportunity to learn more about our current and future initiatives to improve patient care and to offer our staff a safer and more enjoyable work environment,” the department said.
